CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE / INSIDE SALES

 

Summary:

 

Seeking experienced Customer Service Representatives with inside sales experience and a desire to contribute to the success of a well-established HVAC and energy efficiency company. Candidates to be considered will possess professionalism, confidence, and outstanding interpersonal skills.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Receives incoming phone calls for service and products in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Updates customer database by accurately verifying and entering information.
  • Attracts potential customers by anticipating their needs and recommends appropriate products and services.
  • Closes sales and appointments over the phone via inbound and outbound calls.
  • Monitors multiple accounts for critical communications and incoming requests.
  • Resolves problems by identifying customer concerns, determining contributing factors, taking corrective action, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Oversees service and install dispatch boards.
  • Dispatches timely, accurate, and detailed information to the appropriate specialists.
  • Coordinates installations by being a liaison between the technicians, customers, and installers for scheduling purposes.  Processes payments and finance, orders equipment and parts, applies for required city permits, and schedules quality assurance and city inspection appointments.
  • Sells service agreements and schedules semi-annual inspections.
  • Increases job knowledge by participating in training and educational opportunities.
  • Provides general administrative and clerical support.
  • Performs other related job duties and projects assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Two years’ experience in customer service and inside sales.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and active listening skills.
  • Self-starter with high energy and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of administrative/clerical procedures and office equipment.
  • Proven problem solving track record.
  • Excellent references; stable work history.
  • Proficiency in software applications (database software, Microsoft Office products, etc.)
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Work history of excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Professional personal presentation and positive demeanor.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in ever-changing, progressive environment.
  • Willingness to give priority to peak season of May through September each year.
  • High school diploma/GED required; some college preferred.
