POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
• Provides snacks and beverages to members on the golf course as well as assists members with information, directions, and problems that they may have in a courteous manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• This position is very hands-on in nature, one that requires the individual to maintain a high level of efficiency and productivity in the performance of their work activities that include: preparation of food, initiating and filling supply orders from the main kitchen, making sandwiches and preparing their bar cart, servicing the membership.
• Maintain a strict adherence to safety and golf course courtesy.
• Responsible for ensuring the proper inventory of all supply items including perishables, paper supplies, soap and ware washing detergent, beverages, etc.
• Must be able to work autonomously with very little or no moment to moment supervision, while keeping management informed of difficulties/challenges, repair issues, safety issues, and membership service enhancement suggestions at all times.
• Ensure operation and cleanliness of Beverage Cart at all times, thoroughly cleaning cart at the end of each day, and ensuring that cart maintenance practices are being followed.
• Requires the individual to be extremely courteous, cordial and polite to the membership at all times.

• Take food and beverage orders from members and/or reciprocal members and process these orders quickly.
• Totally responsible for the timely delivery of food and beverage product.
• Communicating to management suggestions for improving service to the membership.
• Report to management any unsafe or potentially hazardous area or situation.
• Use of two-way radio to accommodate member’s special request when required.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:
• Must hold at least a high school diploma.
• Must possess exemplary technical skills related to the preparation, receiving, storage and care of food.
• Must be able to use cutlery and kitchen equipment, i.e. slicer, in an efficient and safe manner.
• Must possess good written and oral communication skills.
• Position requires the individual to maintain flexible availability, will work weekends and holidays.
• Must possess a warm and accommodating telephone voice and practice proper telephone etiquette.
• Will fill in as Snack Bar attendant when necessary.
• Prior restaurant service experience.
• Effectively and quickly enter orders into the Point of Sale System, (P.O.S.). Will process member/credit card charges as well as cash settlements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Must be able to lift and carry five (5) up to 30 pounds of product.
