The Holiday Inn Elk River is hiring for a full-time Line Cook for our full-service restaurant. Position includes weekends.

Job Description: To execute all aspects of food preparation, production, and presentation of meals and food offerings while consistently providing high quality products for all restaurant guests.
Responsibilities (Duties include but are not limited to) :

  • Setup & stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food according to specifications for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items according to specifications in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report, and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
  • Clean up station, leaving it stocked & clean, and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately and properly rotate
  • Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Maintain control over food security through regular inventories, proper portioning and correct lock up procedures and production methods.

Requirements:

  • Proven cooking experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
