Canteen Services Inc., (Corrections Food Service) a major provider of food and commissary services to county jails and other at-risk population centers, is seeking qualified candidates for a Correctional Food Service position at the Muskegon County Jail location. Duties for the Cook include:
- Meal preparation and service
- Cleaning of facilities and equipment
- Other cook related duties are expected
- Apportion and serve food to inmates
- Work is performed alongside inmate workers
Requirements for the Cook include:
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- MUST pass criminal (no felonies or misdemeanors) background check and drug screen
- Clean driving record
- Strong character & ability to perform well in a structured environment
- Previous large scale cooking experience helpful
