Quality Assurance Technician - Full-time

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

A family business established over 60 years ago as a manufacturer of specialty metal cans and plastic pails is searching for a Quality Assurance Technician that audits facility operations, performs routine inspection of in-process and finished products, maintains process control, and facilitates quality improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and audits production processes.

• Inspects process control points, Critical Control Points, and Essential Quality Attributes.

• Works together with Production Crew to identify and resolve issues.

• Performs product breakdown evaluations for specification analysis.

• Technician will be expected to be knowledgeable on safety and quality systems and regulatory requirements.

• Opportunities for advancement and growth within the organization.

• May need to work on other shifts (swing or grave) as needed.

  Skills

• Ability to quickly learn new concepts and connect related ideas as they arise in different situations, and exercise good judgment on the job.

• Proficiency in operating computer (Word, Excel, data analysis programs, data entry, etc.)

• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required, and ability to interact effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize work tasks effectively, and execute them with a high level of accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish is a plus.

  Experience/Education

• At least 2 years in a manufacturing environment

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework a plus
