About this job

Our Appliance Mechanics install, service, and repair foodservice equipment such as stoves, refrigerators, dishwashing machines and other electrical commercial appliance utilizing hand tools, test equipment and following wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s specifications. 1. Performs preventive maintenance in accordance to manufacturer’s recommendations. 2. Conducts daily and safety inspections of all facilities. 3. Provides support with user training and familiarization on new equipment. 4. Troubleshoot problems and make recommendations on facility upgrades. 5. Takes readings on equipment using a variety of power testing equipment. 6. Observes equipment during operating cycle to detect excess vibration, overheating, fluid leaks and loose parts, disassembles appliances, examines mechanical and electrical parts. 7. Traces electrical circuits using equipment diagrams to locate shorts and grounds using a multi-meter. 8. Inspects timers, thermostats, switches, pumps, bearings, belts, gears, blowers and defective wiring and adjusts appliance motors and equipment as needed. 9. Replaces worn or defective parts, such as switches, pumps, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, blowers and defective wiring. 10. Reassembles appliance equipment, adjusts pulleys and lubricates all moving parts.  11. All other duties as assigned. (SEW)

High school diploma or equivalent 2-3 year’s appliance mechanic experience Valid driver license Fork lift & Scissor lift licenses CAC Identification Card Federal Government Security Clearance, if CAC Identification Card is required
