Assistant Restaurant Manager

 

We are looking for Assistant Managers who will have the overall responsibility for directing the daily operations of a restaurant in the Restaurant General Manager's absence, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation and delivery, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting and retention of team members, financial accountability, ensuring that the highest quality products and services are delivered to each customer and other duties as required or assigned.

 

Additional Responsibilities Include :

• Maintaining fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensuring products are consistent with company quality standards

• Ensures Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes, and company safety and security policy are met

• Assists Profit & Loss management by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and taking appropriate actions

• Conducts performance appraisals, takes disciplinary action, motivates and trains

• Ensures company standards on equipment, facility, and grounds are maintained by using a preventative maintenance program

• Ensures food quality and 100% customer satisfaction

• Ensures complete and timely execution of corporate & local marketing plans

• Champions recognition and motivation efforts

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Manager position will posses:

Job Title: Assistant Manager

Department: Management

Reports to:  General Manager

Supervises:  Shift Leaders and Hourly Team Members

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

General Purpose of the Position:  Responsible for delivering the CiCi’s guest promise through driving great restaurant operations.  Assist the GM in sales growth, profitability of the restaurant and team development.  

Measured by:  OSAT and InMoment Data, Service Check results, Operational Evaluations and Director of Corporate Operations reviews, sales and profit growth, and people development successes.   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

People Development

  •  Assist in recruiting, interviewing, selection and developing of all team members.  
  •  Assist in leading, motivating and supporting shift leaders and hourly team members to execute The CiCi’s Guest Promise. 
  •  Assist in counseling and disciplining team members as necessary.
  •  Manage OSAT scores by resolving guest issues quickly and sensitively to ensure our guests have a positive experience. 

Sales/Profit Growth

  •  Overall accountability for the restaurants operations during shift, ensuring delivery of the CiCi’s Guest Promise.
  •  Assist in accountability for the restaurant profit and loss management by executing sales building strategies; following cash control, maintaining inventory, managing labor for reviewing financial reporting to enhance restaurant results.  
  •  Assist in execution of local store marketing plans.
  •  Assist in preparing team member schedules and make adjustments when needed.

Education and Experience Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years restaurant management experience 

Other Requirements:

  • Valid state issued driver’s license
  • Able to work a minimum of 50 hours per week; able to work flexible hours necessary to manage and operate the restaurant effectively.
  • Continual standing, walking and lifting throughout shift
