Patient Caregiver - CNA, MA, RN or LPN

Seeking a compassionate and experienced Patient Caregiver to provide direct patient care and companionship for a patient in an Assisted Living Facility, located in Madison, TN (15 minutes from Nashville, TN) and also some private duty in Bellevue, TN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with transporting patient into and out of bed, chair, bathtub and wheelchair/walker.
• Ensure that patient's personal care needs are being met. Assists patient with bath function, grooming and dressing/undressing.
• Keep patient clean and dry, and assists patient with bowel and bladder functions.
• Drive and accompany patient to doctor's appointments in Nashville. Must be able to relay doctor's instructions to Charge Nurse and Caregiver.
• Take patient out on recreational activities.
• Pick patient's supplies and prescription up.
• Light housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming and putting laundry away.
• Provide conversation and stimulation. Giving patient important social and emotional support.
• Measures and records temperatures, blood pressure, pulse, respiration and intake/output.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current, unencumbered state certification to practice as a CNA, RMA, RN or LPN
• Minimum one year of experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Copy of updated Physical.
• Copy of updated TB results/ Chest x-ray.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have reliable transportation with a clean driving record and proof of insurance.
• Pass background checks and drug screening.
• Flexible with hours, duties and travel.
• Experience with dementia care preferred.
• Reliable with excellent time management skills.
• Strong communication skills.

JOB TYPE:

• Average of 16 hours per week with potential opportunity for more.
