SALARY: $11-$12 per hour
JOB DESCRIPTION: Northwest Staffing Resources is hiring several Conference Assistants to staff a few upcoming events held at the Oregon Convention Center. We are seeking Conference Assistants who possess a friendly and customer service-oriented demeanor and enjoy interacting with the public. Some long shift may be required, such as 10:00am-8:00pm. The schedule is typically between 3-5 days and may including working on Saturday and Sunday. Box checker position will require candidates to stand long hours and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
The dress code for these events are either all black or white shirt with black slacks.
TYPE OF POSITIONS WE WILL BE STAFFING:
Badge/Computer Assistants: Will work in Self Registration Area to assist those who are self-registering, entering existing registration information, and printing badges for attendees and exhibitors.
Greeters: Greeting conference attendees and exhibitors, answering questions and directing them to correct areas. Must have computers and data entry skills as may be needed to fill in at registration.
Membership Representatives: Assisting individuals who are interested in registering for memberships, providing customer service, data entry of membership information.
Box Checkers: The box checkers will be sorting the food company boxes by brand, putting ID stickers on them, bringing them to the scanners to check them in at the computers, and then bringing them to the booth out on the show floor.
