Swim Instructor - Part-time

Pro Club Swim Instructors are key to our club. They design and deliver effective and rewarding swim sessions for children and adults. While focusing on the fulfillment of clients' swimming goals, our instructors maintain a safe and productive learning environment. Aquatics Instructors are responsible for providing positive, constructive feedback to each client during both private and group swim instruction.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Evaluate and instruct students participating in group and private swim lessons to develop water safety and swimming skills consistent with principles outline in PRO Sports Club Aquatics Cast Manual

- Prepare class environment daily (lesson plans, equipment, teaching aids, general safety)

- Clean and store equipment and teaching aids at the end of each shift

- Demonstrate skills required for class content, utilizing teaching aids (kick boards, diving rings, etc)

- Evaluates and records all students' progress and distributes progress reports to each student and the end of each group lesson session

- Enforce rules, policies and procedures

- Responsible for the safety of all people who enter the Aquatics area while on duty

- Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Current:  Water safety instructor or equivalent

- Current CPR Certification required (From either Red Cross or American Heart Association)

- Current First Aid (From either Red Cross or American Heart Association)

- 2 years instruction variety of programs

Relocation assistance and/or convenient temporary housing  will be considered for candidates selected from outside of the Seattle area.  We will also consider travel reimbursement for candidates traveling more than 50 miles who are invited for in-person interviews.
