Employment Type

The Assistant Manager reports directly to General Manager, receives direction from General Manager and Director of Operations, and assists in the direct supervision of shift managers and 5 to 10 employees. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

  • Increase sales by providing outstanding product and service.
  • Work lunch, dinner and weekends, monitoring quality of food and service.
  • Assist in providing Team Members and Team Leaders with the appropriate training.
  • Purchase food, beverages and supplies as needed and oversee their preparation to ensure that every product served meets our high standards of product quality.
  • Supervise and motivate Team Members and Team Leaders.
  • Communicate openly and honestly with subordinates, superiors and all others about plans, progress and problems.
  • Provide leadership by keeping things fun and encouraging enthusiasm and a positive mental attitude and commitment toward Company objectives.
  • Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance above and beyond the parameters of this position description.
  • Exhibit outstanding guest service skills and a sense of urgency

  • Possess a relentless work ethic and positive attitude

  • Learn to rapidly build, bake, & serve outstandingly delicious pizzas, pour pints, fill growlers, and scoop authentic artisan gelatos with a determined enthusiasm

  • Be able to stand for 5+ hours, occasionally lift 30+ pounds, efficiently utilize a POS system.

  • Be consistently professional, respectful, & solution oriented

  • Seek to make each day memorable, make every guest special, and take pride in all their work

  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served

  • Knows and complies with consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.

  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, refrigerators, & ovens.

  • Assists in food prep, cleaning, and opening or closing the restaurant.

  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience - Minimum 1 yr. experience managing people in a restaurant environment.
  • Office environment - Work with computer and office equipment.
  • Restaurant environment - Work with advanced kitchen and front-of-house operational equipment.
