Role Summary:
The Assistant Director of Drive-Thru serves as a guardian over this critical success factor in our leadership team, ensuring our Recipe for Service standards are met. This individual must have a passion for service, people, and operational excellence. The Assistant Director of Drive-Thru understands that customer satisfaction always takes priority, but efficient restaurant operations make it possible.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and promotes growth among team leaders and staff.
- Effectively manages the Drive-Thru in the absence of Director.
- Is capable of following opening procedures of restaurant.
- Manages operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of Chick-fil-A La Plata.
- Ensures all policies and standards are upheld.
- Maintains rigorous cleaning schedule for Drive-Thru, both inside and outside.
- Identifies and delegates responsibilities to team leaders and staff to ensure objectives are met and excellent service is consistently achieved.
- Consistently reviews operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provides direction to Team Leaders and staff to achieve service goals.
- Consistently monitor product and labor costs to remain within goals.
- Drives performance in Drive-Thru to increase both speed and accuracy.
- Leads by example to ensure consistent behavior of team:
- Exhibits CORE 4 (All Day Every Day)
- Exhibits 2nd Mile Service
- Creates culture of “continuous improvement” in Drive-Thru (no shortcuts).
- Meets weekly with Drive-Thru Leadership Team (Director, A.M. Assistant Director, P.M. Assistant Director) as a strategic partner.
- Establishes, posts, and tracks written monthly service goals with aid from Drive-Thru Leadership Team.
- Assists in any areas of the restaurant when staffing constraints require.
- Identifies employee weaknesses and retrain as necessary.
- Is certified in all eTrain modules relevant to position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous Experience: Two years restaurant/management experience
- ServSafe Certification (Or to be obtained within three months of employment).
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Able to use touch-sensitive POS System.
- Able to lift minimum of 25 lbs.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays (closed Thanksgiving/Christmas).
- No visible tattoos in uniform.
