About this job
Responsible for planning, coordinating and teaching lessons for children of all age levels and skillsets.
Hourly rate:
$10.50 - $15 per hour
Requirements/Certifications:
-Age 18 or older
-CPR/AED Certified
-First Aid/ Lifeguard Certified
-Child Abuse Clearance
Knowledge and Skills:
Thorough knowledge and application of swimming and water safety skills
Thorough knowledge of competitive swimming and the execution of all four strokes
An understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies and procedures
Excellent communication skills
Ability to adapt to the learning needs of each child
Responsibilities:
Adapt your teaching approaches to the age, experience and ability of participants, so they can meet course objectives
Cover all skills required for each group level
Communicate regularly with participants and their parents, as appropriate, to ensure they are aware of progress
Recognize and respond effectively in emergencies in accordance with facility emergency action plans
Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations
Complete records and reports
Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor
