About this job
These positions are responsible for guarding and patrolling company premises to protect property and personnel against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other hazards.
Responsibilities:
Supervise the execution of the physical security group's operations during the assigned time period
Assign and oversee the placement of contract security officers and ensure performance is compliant with organizational standards
Monitors and responds to security & facilities systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarm, and Fire Protection System
Coordinates emergency response for events occurring on campus, to include, but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, active shooter, and others
Conduct inspections of containers entering and leaving the facility when requested
Maintain organizational documentation to include daily activity reports, incident reports, and post instructions
Periodically tours premises; identifies areas in which increase the company's risk
Examines credentials of persons desiring entrance to restricted areas; permits authorized persons to enter property
May inspect equipment/ facilities/ parking lots and report irregularities
May be required to direct traffic on company premises
Operates and maintains company vehicles
Responds to emergency situations
Ensures classified information is protected to established standards; reports all violations to direct management
Reports suspicious activity, security deficiencies or other problems to appropriate personnel
Monitors for compliance with organizational and governmental regulations/ policies impacting the organization
Provide customer service to internal and external customers, providing information (when appropriate) and general guidance
Ensure services provided by the Physical Security Staff run on time and to established standards
May be asked to respond to and provide aid for medical emergencies if EMTs are not available.
Able to work overtime as dictated by the needs of the operations
Assists and at times manages special assignments as provided by Security Management
Maintains a professional environment and working conditions for Physical Security staff
Assists other departments with investigations and distribution of company records within established guidelines

High school diploma required, applicable certifications preferred; 2 years of experience required in a similar role (military, police, security, etc).
Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicant's skills, education and experience.
Due to the nature of our work qualified candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
