About this job
Primary Purpose:
Drive a delivery vehicle, such as a 16' box truck, with a capacity of less than 12,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or to deliver packages.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or Equivalent.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to operate large trucks with an automatic transmission.
Experience: Minimum of 1 years required.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Deliver company merchandise to various designated locations.
- Load and unload delivery truck by hand or with pallet jack.
- Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic direction
Equipment Used:
Dolly, pallet jack, box knife, and small hand tools.
