Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Greet guests as they arrive and take them to their seats; provide a menu and explain specials; answer immediate questions the patrons have and introduce the customers to their server Schedules dining reservations for guests in advance and as they arrive at the restaurant.
  • Directs and instructs the dining room personnel on customer needs to ensure customers receive fast and quality service from the moment they arrive.
  • Assist guests that may have special needs or request accommodations, including services needed for small children, as well as for individuals with disabilities or food allergies.
  • Inspects and maintains the dining facilities. Advises bussers and wait staff; may be required to spot clean problems and to help clear tables to facility customer needs.
  • Handles customers’ queries and concerns efficiently
  • Communicates with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language at all times.
  • Work as a team with all Park&Oak  staff in order to maintain an effective atmosphere and an efficient food and beverage service.
  • Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked to Park&Oak standards at all times.

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • Walks and stands during entire shift.
  • Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop and wipe.
  • Remain stationary for long periods of time.
  • Frequent washing of hands.
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slipping and tripping.
  • Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic mathematical skills, handle money and give correct change.
