PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR REQUIREMENTS:

Education -High school diploma or equivalent

Work Experience -Mechanical aptitude required. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Must have own hand tools and measuring instruments.

Computer Skills - Computer operating skills are essential.

Software Packages - SurfCAM and knowledge of associated CAD files (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) beneficial.

WORK SCHEDULE/WORKING CONDITIONS:

· Typical work-week: approx. 40 hours, more or less depending on machine shop requirements

· 1st shift 6:00a - 4:30p (core hours requirement; occasional overtime on Friday and Saturday)

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Operate and Set-Up CNC machining centers

· Operate manual mills, lathes, saws, grinders, etc.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Utilize and comply with the Quality Management System

· Effectively use verbal and written communication to perform machining functions

· Follow safe work practices utilizing the proper safety PPE

· Utilize proper housekeeping procedures to keep work areas clean and organized

· Utilize manuals and written information to operate machinery and equipment

· Ability and willingness to learn procedures, machining techniques, work flow and machinery operations

· Typical work tasks include: router operation, CNC machine tool operation maintenance, machinery safeguards, lockout/tagout procedures, inspection, blue print reading, construction experience, machine assembly, material storage, inventory control, and documentation

· Inspect and measure tools, fixtures and machined details with precision measuring instruments

· Concept and construct fixtures and tooling to machine materials

· Perform job functions in a cost-effective manner
