Role Summary/Purpose: Repair technicians at GE Appliances, a Haier company, service the full-line of GE Appliances' major products. They are world class in their technical abilities and quality of service. We are currently seeking experienced appliance repair technicians in the Oklahoma City, OK area.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oklahoma City, OK is the service area
- In-home repair and service of full line of GE Appliances' major products
- Accept remote dispatching through an onboard computer
- Manage assigned truck stock inventory and the maintenance of an assigned service van
- Operate assigned service van with unwavering attention to safety utilizing methods as trained by Smith Defensive Driving and/or other specified safety programs
- Sell GE Appliances service contracts, water filters, and other products
- Meet productivity and efficiency goals as established
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through the deliverance of high quality service
- Diligent use of proper safety procedures and constant awareness for personal safety and safety of others
- Wear and/or use all appropriate company provided PPE safety equipment
- Prompt and regular attendance
- Comply with GE Appliances, a Haier company, policies
- Physical demands of the position include:
- Sitting and driving for extended periods of time in a service van
- The ability to step-up, into, and out-of the service van
- Continuously reaching at or below shoulder level
- Frequently bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, crawling, sitting, standing, flexing/extending neck, grasping, squeezing, and fine motor/manipulations skills
- Occasionally crouching, squatting, climbing/balancing, walking, and reaching above shoulder level
- Frequent use of powered hand tools and occasional use of vibratory tools/equipment
- Handling and lifting of parts or materials - minimum of 77 lbs lifting/carrying and 70 lbs pushing/pulling is required

QualificationsEducation
Required
High School Diploma or Equivalent or better.
Experience
Required
Valid driver's license
Appliance repair or related experience
Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of electricity and schematics
Excellent communication skills
Self-directed
Able to work reasonable overtime
Ability to use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and vibratory tools
Able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation, including, but not limited to:
Sitting and driving for extended periods of time in a service van
Ability to step-up, into, and out-of the service van daily
Continuously reaching at or below shoulder level
Frequently bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, crawling, sitting, standing, flexing/extending neck, grasping, squeezing, and fine motor/manipulations skills
- Occasionally crouching, squatting, climbing/balancing, walking, and reaching above shoulder level
Frequent use of powered hand tools and occasional use of vibratory tools/equipment
Handling and lifting of parts or materials - minimum of 77 lbs lifting/carrying and 70 lbs pushing/pulling is required
Successful completion of a background investigation, physical, and drug screen
Preferred
Minimum of 2 years of appliance repair experience or related expertise
