The ideal candidate must demonstrate active listening and ability to multi-task according the different job functions. Being able to multi-task is extremely important in order to be successful in this position. Must be able to receive constructive feedback and implement any improvements accordingly.

R&D Operators perform various processes for manufacturing grafts, stents, and catheters which is primarily done in a clean room/ laboratory environment. This requires following the SOPs and GMPs as well as wearing full bio-hazard gowns, 2 to 3 lays of booties over street shoes.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Utilize small hand tools and/or precision devices to aid in the manufacturing process
  • Perform inspection of own work of prior manufacturing operations
  • Experience and knowledge with microscopes needed.
  • Enter batch information into database
  • Accurately complete Device History Records and associated paperwork
  • Assist with projects and qualifications concerning the process when needed
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers

 

Required Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment preferably utilizing or working with small parts and pieces.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to shift job scope as employees may move between job functions, i.e. working in lab or testing.

 

Preferred Skill Sets:

  • Experience with small hand tools such as tweezers for fine/detailed tasks.
  • Experience in detail work under a microscope or lighted magnifying glass.

 

Lunch and additional information:

You are able to take a 30 minute in addition to two 15 minute breaks whenever you would like.

The environment is very laid back and friendly. The supervisors do a great job of working with you and explaining the processes. You will me using microscopes to assemble catheters, but you may not be working on microscopes all day. You will be in a cleanroom environment for most of the day but the temperature is very nice and the facility is great as well.

This is currently a 3 to 9 months assignment and the pay starts at $12 for R&D Operators.
