Knockerball NOVA Event Coordinator - Part-time

Knockerball NOVA is looking for a couple of sharp and responsible individuals to help run some events this busy summer/fall season! If you haven't heard of bubble sports, please check out our website www.knockerballnova.com.  Gigs are on-call and scheduling is flexible. The jobs are intermittent, with an average of 8 events per month and growing! The events will mostly be held on weekends, during the late-morning into the evenings. You would be paired up with team mate to conduct each event. Private birthday parties, festivals and fairs, schools and social groups, fund-raisers and team-builders are our typical event types.  Running a Knockerball NOVA event includes: Getting all necessary equipment to the event location 1 hour before start time. Setting up field/court and Knockerballs according to training. Collecting participant forms such as waivers, checking them for completion and making sure everyone playing is approved to play according to training. Running event safely while conducting Knockerball games for the duration of party (weather permitting).  Have fun! Engage the crowd, don't be afraid to let your personality shine! Snap a few pictures that capture the day's action. Cleaning and breakdown of Knockerball equipment at end of event. Checking out with host and assuring that it was a 5-star experience.  Bringing all equipment back to Knockerball NOVA Headquarters. Compensation starts at $10/hour. Events are located all over the DMV area. Events may last 1-6 hours. Pay rate starts when Knockerball equipment is picked up by employee or dropped off at location of event where employee is present.

Must be able to work outdoors and sometimes in the Northern VA summer heat. Must be able to solve-problems as they arise and keep a cool attitude. Must be able to lift and carry 25lbs repeatedly. Must be able to stand/run for long periods of time. Must have a working cell phone with GPS. Must be 18 and have valid ID. Must have reliable transportation. (access to a truck/van/huge trunk is a plus, but not necessary). Must be available weekends. Must communicate effectively and correspond with us in a timely manner.
