Greenbelt Solar, a renewable energy installation company is looking to hire a Journeyman Electrician.
The Journeyman Electrician must have an active Journeyman or Master Electrician License within the state of Texas and be registered with TDLR.
Responsibilities:
Install solar panels on the roof
Install electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the grid power of our customer's residential and commercial property.
Ensure work performed is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local Austin codes
Troubleshoot system problems and resolve electrical issues
Perform other needed job tasks as requested.
Required Skills:
Valid and current Journeyman (or Master) Electrician License
Experience installing solar systems desired but not required
Ability to perform advanced electrical calculations
Understanding of wire and conduit sizing as well as how to make adjustments for environmental factors
Knowledge of the 2014 NEC and Article 690 within NEC
Must be willing to work in high places (our installations are on rooftops)
Required Experience:
Must have an active Journeyman (or Master) Electrician license within the state
4+ years of electrical installation and repair experience
Working knowledge of the usage of a volt meter
Working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels
