We have a full-time/part-time opening for a Unarmed Security Officer Full-Time/Part-Time Norfolk and Surrounding Area.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Job Skills / Requirements

• Available positions on all shifts and weekends
• Provide access control effectively protecting staff, visitors and employees as well as property.
• Make rounds as needed to watch for any threats.
• Observe and accurately report all unusual situations.
• Effectively use Customer Service skills with internal staff and visitors. Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
• Follow detailed SOPs and policies . Adhere and enforce all client policies and procedures.
• Provide direction and assistance to staff, visitors and guest.
• Respond to emergency conditions within assigned area of responsibility as annotated in main SOP
• Be alert to hazards which may cause fires, explosions and other catastrophes
• Aggressive patrols, maintaining high degree of visibility. Annotate any/all damage discovered during patrols.
• Perform vehicle intake duties as specified in SOP.
• Perform vehicle release duties as specified in SOP.
• Military and Prior security experience is prefered, but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Professional image and demeanor maintained at all times.
• Dependable and reliable with proven track record of past stable employment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be physically able to walk and stand for up to an 8 hour shift. Must be able to climb stairs as needed to conduct security rounds in multi-level facility.
• Must be able to interact with all levels of employees, tenants, clients and senior executives.
• Excellent attendance is required to successfully perform duties.
• Must be able to pass drug screen and have reliable transportation.
