If you have a passion for teaching and want to work in a fun, nurturing, educational environment without the daycare feel, we would to discuss an opportunity to join our team!The Goddard School of Parker, located at Parker Road and Hilltop is looking for a full time Toddler Lead Teacher. The ages of children you would be teaching are 2 1/2 - 3 years old.The hours for this position would be approximately 8:30 am-5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

The Goddard School is a distinguished educational program with a Piaget, play-based foundation of learning. Goddard is well-known for being one of the top leaders in the franchised preschool industry. Our faculty consists of loving, passionate teachers who understand each child's individual needs while balancing a well-run, purposeful program. We provide a high quality education program for children 6 weeks through Private Kindergarten with a small before and after school program.

We are currently looking for energetic, creative teachers that will help grow our program by providing a developmentally appropriate classroom, where the children feel safe and are allowed to freely explore their environment. Our program enhances children's emotional, social, intellectual and physical development. Lead Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Goddard's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards while implementing their own lesson plans based on Goddard Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a life-long love of learning!
 

Job Description 

  • Developing and implementing age appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for 21st Century Learning and S.T.E.A.M.
  • Meeting the individual needs of the children 
  • Participation in ongoing educational training opportunities and monthly staff meetings
  • Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in your classroom 
  • Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning 
  • Presenting expectations and developing classroom guidelines that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level 
  • Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem, problem-solving and social skills 
  • Develop positive and productive relationships with parents and co-workers by communicating appropriately and professionally
  • Being an integral part of a team
  • Completing child assessments and conduct parent/teacher conferences semi-annually
  • Supporting Goddard's programs and policies as well as state licensing requirements 
  • Commit to maintaining quality, professionalism and a positive attitude

Lead Teacher requirements for The Goddard School would be include one of the following:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field that includes 18 credits directly related to young children.
  • CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential through the State of Colorado Licensing with an additional 12 credits of continuing education directly related to young children.
  • If you have not completed but are enrolled in a CDA Credential Program, pursing an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in an Early Childhood Education, Childhood Development, or a related field, you would be required to provide proof of enrollment.
  • The minimum requirement would be 2 Early Childhood Education courses, one of which must be ECE 101 or 103 and 1 year of documented experience for this position.

All employees are required to complete background checks, including the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation and TRAILS database.
