Summary Description

Provides initial guest contact, is the individual who handles all sales transactions and ensures proper cash accountability and guest service by performing the following: 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be in full uniform at the proper workstation at the designated time.
  • Greets all guests following Papa Murphy’s guest service procedures.
  • Assists guests in making menu selection.
  • Suggestive Selling.
  • Reviews specials, handles club cards or other special promotions.
  • Rings up order and follows proper cash handling techniques (no $50’s or $100’s) all $20’s get dropped.
  • Informs guest how long it will take to have order complete.
  • Answers the phone following Papa Murphy’s standards and procedures.
  • Coordinates phone in orders for guest pick-up.
  • Ensures that guest are called concerning phone-in orders remaining in the store over 30 minutes and that the product is placed under refrigeration until pick-up.
  • Processes coupons and gift certificates as per standards.
  • Follows proper void procedures.
  • Does not leave terminal unattended unless signed off of the POS system.
  • Responsible to maintain proper amounts of money in till at minimum ($75) and drops extra cash in money drop.
  • Follows proper check cashing, credit card and food stamp transactions.
  • Keeps assigned area neat, clean and well stocked during assigned shift.
  • Performs opening, closing, change of shift or early out procedures as assigned by Shift Manager.

Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Experience: Previous experience using cash register, handling money is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to read, speak, write and communicate effectively at the work location.
  • Requires basic math skills and the ability to handle money accurately.
  • Must be able to maintain reasonable attendance at work.
  • Must be able to arrive at the store at the scheduled time.
  • Must be able to build and maintain positive relationships with supervisors, co-workers and guests.
  • Must have ability to remain stationary for periods of up to four hours in length, be able to bend and stoop on occasion, and be able to escort guests to and from the shop when able to do so, or when the situation warrants such action.
