About this job
Helping Hands, a non-profit organization founded in Georgetown, SC, was established in 1989 in to provide compassionate care and incentive driven programs to help individuals transition out of poverty. In Georgetown County, which has 60,000 residents of which 20% live in poverty, the necessity for organizations such as Helping Hands are high. Currently, Helping Hands aims to recruit someone through the AmeriCorps VISTA program, a national service program designed to alleviate poverty, in order to help expand their potential in the community. The AmeriCorps VISTA program, which stands for Volunteers in Service to America, places motivated and passionate individuals at different non-profits across the nation to serve in the fight against poverty. Responsibilities:
Increase Program Impact of Helping Hands through
- Developing and implementing strategies for various Jobs Programs and Poverty Transition Programs
