About this job

The primary function of a Customer Service Advisor is to safely provide an excellent service experience for our customers. Customer Service Advisors communicate vehicle service recommendations to customers with the intent to educate the customers on vehicle maintenance requirements. They must also have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as be able to speak effectively with customers and employees. Customer Service Advisors may also be required to work with their hands on cars.

Requirements

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The write-up person is the first person to greet customers at Jiffy Lube.  They are the first impression made with a customer and play a vital role in the overall impression a customer will have of their Jiffy Lube experience.  Therefore, it is imperative that the Designated Write-up person present themselves with the highest of professional standards and qualities, including the following:

 

                    Neat Professional Appearance

                    Excellent Personal Hygiene

                    Well spoken with excellent communication skills

                    Proven sales experience and skills

                    Highest degree of Jiffy Lube product knowledge

 

Responsibilities:

 

1.       Greet customers immediately upon arrival at the service center by procedure.

2.       (A) If new customer, explain the Signature Service oil change,  quote price and then escort the customer to the Otto Care for service review.

3.       (B) If repeat customer ask customer for their maintenance folder and then escort him/her to Otto Care for service review.

4.       Jockey cars into position so they are serviced on a first come / first served basis.

5.       Perform courtesy services and assist upper bay technicians completing computer work and stickers as time permits.

6.       Be first person to answer telephone as time permits.

7.       Perform any other job duties assigned by manager on duty.

8.       Give customers accurate price estimates, time estimates and always direct them to the customer lounge where they may enjoy coffee and magazines.
