Grocery Clerk 1

We have a part-time opening for a Grocery Clerk 1.

Must be able to work various shifts per week. Position requires availability for both day and night.

FLSA:  Non-exempt (Hourly rate; eligible for overtime)

Reports to:  Grocery Manager, Assistant Manager, Store Manager (may vary by store)

Summary: 

To assure high quality customer service and assist in department operations.  Provide support toward department objectives and helps to drive sales. 

Assignments and work direction will be provided by the manager/person in charge.

Essential Job Functions:

• Follow all Red Shirt Service guidelines at all times
• Greet each customer as they approach
• Maintain pricing, stocking and rotation of merchandise in the grocery department
• Assist with the unloading of merchandise
• Transport stock for storage to stock areas
• Assist with building and removing store displays
• Control level of damaged goods
• Maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product
• Keep merchandise rotated and pull out-of-code product as needed
• Properly present assigned section prior to leaving at the end of schedule
• Housekeeping of sales floor, back room, rest room, break areas, or other public areas as needed
• Answer questions and provide assistance as necessary
• Adhere to all store and department policies as stated in the teammate hand book and any other manuals
• Follow the cleaning and sanitation guidelines
• Department is to be organized and hazard free all times
• Assist with training of department teammates
• Keep work area/department is to be organized at all time
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

• Reading

• Ability to work safely
