Homeward Trails Animal Rescue, a nonprofit animal rescue in Northern Virginia, is seeking new Animal Care Technicians to join the team at the Homeward Trails Adoption Center.Duties include the maintenance and care of dogs currently residing at the Center until homes can be found for these homeless animals.Cleaning and maintenance of the facility is also a major requirement of the position.Working with volunteers and visitors to the center will also be a necessity of the position. This is a part-time opportunity looking to fill between 20-40 hours. Working on weekends and holidays is mandatory.Starting pay is $12, but ompensation will be negotiated on prior experience.
A successful applicant will be dependable and be able to work independently.Leadership will also prove valuable as you will frequently be placed in charge of volunteers who will require direction and training.Patience with the public and the animals in your care is also invaluable.
Prior experience at an open-play dog daycare or veterinarian is preferred but not required.
