Job Responsibilities

As a Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist you will receive phoned or written prescriptions or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate in an inpatient hospital setting.

Additional responsibilities of the Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist include:

Establishing or maintaining patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients

• Maintaining proper storage and security conditions for drugs
• Answering telephones, responding to questions or requests
• Prepacking bulk medicines, filling prescriptions, typing and affixing labels accurately
• Mixing pharmaceutical preparations, according to phoned, written or refill prescriptions
• Cleaning and helping to maintain equipment or work areas and sterilize glassware, according to prescribed methods
• Filing written prescriptions

Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist

Job Requirements

As a Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist you must have proven experience with inpatient care in a hospital setting.

Additional requirements of the Clinical Inpatient Pharmacist include:

• Area: Ability to work in the Torrance, CA area
• Licensure requirements: Must have open, clean and active California Pharmacist license
• Years of experience: 1 year of recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Assignment Length: Must be flexible as this may extend depending on client need
• Schedule: Rotating schedule, weekends may need to be covered
• Pay: $53/hour DOE
• Background/drug requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, client health screening criteria, client competency testing and drug screen
