Early Childhood Education Director

The Director of Methodist Children's Learning Center of Athens (MCLC) is a practicing Christian and qualified educator, who leads, inspires, guides, manages, and communicates easily with staff, students, parents, church staff and church members. The Director must Be a member of a Christian Church. Be involved in activities/ ministries of First UMC Athens through prayers, presence, spiritual gifts, and talents. Be able to articulate the Christian faith in terms of a child's experience and development. Be able to communicate the Christian faith to families of the school. The Director will possess (or will have by the end of 6 months from hire date) a Director's Certificate recognized by the state of Texas. Possess a CDA or preferably a Bachelor's Degree in elementary or early childhood education or related field or equivalent. Have five or more years' experience in early childhood education. Keep Director's Certificate current through annual continuing education. CPR and First Aid certifications or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
