Requirements
American Security is seeking to hire motivated individuals for a position as a Security Officer in a healthcare facility. Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Patrolling the facility on foot or in a company vehicle.
- Monitoring patient activity and safety.
- Responding to emergencies/disturbances involving patients and visitors of the hospital.
- Interacting with visitors, patients and staff in a professional manner.
The ideal candidate should be in good physical condition, have excellent customer service skills and want to start/continue their career in the security industry.
American Security has developed a top notch training program for all of our officers operating in healthcare facilities. Officers are required to become IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety) certified and will receive raises when they complete certifications. American Security currently has the highest number of IAHSS certified officers in the NC and SC.
This position works a rotating 12 hour shift, officers will work every other weekend. This position offers a career path, officers will receive raises for staying with the company for certain time periods and for receiving additional certifications. This position offers benefits including weekly pay, paid vacation, 401K, credit union access as well as medical, dental and life insurance plans. We are currently hiring for both day shift and night shift.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 21 years old.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Security Officer Candidates must be approved by South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
- Employment as a registered security officer is contingent on results of a complete criminal, character and fitness investigation.
- Applicants may be required to pass a medical examination testing the applicant's ability to perform essential job functions of a security officer. This may include screening for the use of performance impairing drugs.
- Previous military applicants must present a DD214 or NGB Form 22.
