Store Support Associate - Full-time / Part-time

Reporting to our Store Support Manager and Assistant and being a part of our Store Support Team, the Store Support Associate is an important part of our organization as they are the face of the organization to our supporters who donate their material goods to SVdP. As such they play an important role in creating a favorable first impression for SVdP to our donors and increasing the probability that our donors will continue to support SVdP.

Remember...our customers and donors do not have to support us...we need to make them want to support us!

JOB DUTIES:

• Greets donors and assists in getting their donations into the warehouse.


• Sorts merchandise received and discards of any merchandise that can not be sold.


• Helps maintain a clean and safe work environment.


• Works baling and compacting machinery as directed.


• Works mechanized and hand forklifts as directed.


• Assists customers in taking purchased merchandise to their cars as needed.


• Cleans exterior of buildings, cuts grass and removes snow or other hazardous situations as they may develop.


• Drives Society vehicles in collecting merchandise donated as qualified and directed.


• Assists on Store Support box trucks collecting donations as directed.


• Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to greet donors and make a good first impression upon their arrival at SVDP.


• Able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis. Able to life heavier items with assistance.


• Able to work on feet for the bulk of their assigned shift.


• Able to understand and fully comply with all company safety directives.


• Previous forklift driving experience is preferable.


• Vehicle drivers - able to drive cargo vans and box trucks as directed. Must have a valid drivers license and be insurable on our auto insurance policy. Must pass annual DOT physical examination.


• Able to work evenings and weekends.
