Position:  Sales Associate and Smart Phone Repair Technician

Batteries Plus Bulbs is hiring Full Time Sales Associate and Device Repair team members for our  Fairfax and Chantilly stores in Northern Virginia.  Our Associates provide solutions for both existing and prospective customers. They are on the leading edge of new technologies including Smart Phones, LED lighting and next generation batteries. Our company provides extensive training including repairing smart phones and tablets.

Sales Associate / Customer Service Duties (Training Provided):

  • Identify and solve lighting and battery problems for retail and commercial customers
  • Articulate technical and economic pros and cons of various solutions
  • Educate customers in terms of various products and services
  • Provide add-on options for customers

Tech Duties (Training Provided):

  • Assess and Repair smart phones, tablets, and other devices as needed
  • Test and install automotive batteries and other specialty batteries
  • Build cordless drill battery packs
  • Replace batteries in watches, key fobs, cell phones, and more

Qualifications:

  • H.S. diploma/equivalent plus 1 year of retail sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude. Ability to follow detailed instructions and use fine motor skills when working with delicate electronics.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and track multiple commitments; effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; strong customer service focus; ability to inform, teach, and train.
  • Working conditions are typical for a technical retail environment.
  • Position requires the employee to regularly use hands to handle or touch electronic products.
  • Position also requires the employee to regularly use a computer and other office equipment, as well as tools.
  • Position requires lifting 10-20 lbs on a regular and frequent basis, 50 lbs on an occasional basis, and more than 50 lbs on an infrequent basis.
