Job summary: Responsible for Sales, Business Development & Customer Relationship activities for Cognizant's Engineering & Manufacturing horizontal.The Portfolio Director will be responsible for a P&L and achieve annual revenue & profitability targets in a matrixed organization, responsible for prospecting and other sales management goals. The Portfolio Director will collaborate with Vertical teams to develop strong, long-term relationships with executives and manage the end-to-end sales process; demand fulfillment, interfacing with HR / Ops and Offshore teams.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Sales, Business Development & Customer Relationship activities for Engineering & Manufacturing horizontal
- Achieve annual revenue & profitability targets
- Work in a matrix organization, responsible for prospecting and other sales management goals designed
- Collaboration with Vertical teams, develop strong, long-term relationships with executives
- Manage the end-to-end sales process
- Demand fulfillment, interfacing with HR / Ops, Offshore Teams
- Responsible for P&L Operations for the Programs
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience with 5+ years in a Business / Sales role in the Engineering and/or Manufacturing industry
- Consulting engagement experience in Product Engineering and PLM
- Ability to appreciate and work on 360-degree aspects around a Product development life cycle / engineering / Product manufacturing areas
- Strong technical skills with an ability to find technical solutions that solve business problems and engage the potential customer with "consultative selling" is essential.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and executive presentation and persuasion skills
- Ability to interface at all levels of a customer organization
- Exposure to verticals such as HiTech, Semiconductors, Networks, Medical Devices is desirable
- Prior experience in Product Engineering
- BS degree required; Advanced degree preferred
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to San Francisco area; Cognizant will offer relocation assistance
