Who We Are
Lickety Split Food Services ("Lickety Split") was incorporated in 2012 to build and operate multiple Dairy Queen freestanding restaurants in the greater Fort Worth Metroplex. We opened our first location in Euless in April 2013. We have since constructed eight additional restaurants. Each building is all-new construction and features the best available equipment and amenities.

Who We're Looking For
We are hiring an experienced Facilities Manager. This is somebody who is highly capable in the maintenance and repair of physical plant/building, refrigeration, Air Conditioning, gas appliances, food service equipment, plumbing, and general “handyman” skills.

As a Facilities Manager, you will be an integral member of our operations team with the responsibility to ensure our restaurants are maintained to the highest standards. Because our locations are recent construction with new equipment, you will be responsible for overseeing the physical plant condition and ensuring that the furniture, fixtures, and equipment remain in excellent condition. 

 You will report directly to the owner/operator and will be expected to self-direct your priorities. You will work with contractors and suppliers. You will be expected to diagnose, repair (or when required, manage service contractors) and report. You are accountable for all aspects of facilities management including compliance with standards of operations and administration, the protection of company assets, and adherence with all company policies.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides direct support to owner/operator and restaurant management as needed
  • Manage, direct and coordinate the activities of contracted personnel or third parties who are providing services or performing work at this facility. Ensuring adherence to project scope, safety requirements and prescribed procedures.
  • Must be highly competent in small appliance repair: eg: toasters, warmers, fryers, grills, etc.
  • Experience with minor electrical, refrigeration, HVAC is expected. 
  • Manages and inspects buildings and evaluates use of space and facilities; including the detection of existing or potential accident and health hazards, determining corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented
  • Analyzes and monitors facilities’ systems – mechanical, HVAC, lighting, security and other building systems for proper and safe operations, proper maintenance practices and potential cost savings. Responds to facility and equipment alarms and system failures
  • Communicates project statuses.
  • Plan, implement, coordinate and supervise all mechanical / electrical operations, maintenance and energy management programs for a critical facilities environment.
  • Maintain cost effective and efficient operation of all building systems.
  • Oversee scheduling of preventative maintenance, contracted maintenance and general maintenance with minimum disruption of building services.
  • Coordinate the input and output of the preventative maintenance system and review the status on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain lighting in all areas of the building(s)
  • Understand the engineering design and operation aspect of each building system.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations (such as fire, evacuation, equipment failures, etc.) 
  • Performs regular site visits to evaluate facility conditions and identify potential repairs and facility maintenance projects.
  • Keep owner/operator informed of any issues that require escalation or assistance.
  • Performs other duties and lends assistance to co-workers as directed by owner/operator 

Trade knowledge

  • Must have experience in small equipment repair, electrical, refrigeration, and plumbing.
  • Must have general knowledge of all other construction disciplines

Office Skills

  • Strong verbal communications a must. 
  • Ability to comfortably communicate in a Microsoft Office environment (Outlook, WORD, and EXCEL)
  • Detail oriented and organized a must.
  • Valid Driver’s License. You will be supplied a utility van and are expected to have the ability to safely operate and maintain it.
