We are looking for an experienced and professional individual to join our team as a Retail Clerk, who will sell specific lines of merchandise such as apparel, jewelry, souvenirs, and related lines of merchandise for our retail operation.



Responsibilities Includes, but not limited to:




  • Provide prompt and professional service to guests.

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, obtain or receive merchandise, total bill, accept cash and credit payments, and make change for customers.  

  • Remove and record amount of cash in register at end of shift.  Follow and enforce all cash handling policies and procedures.       

  • Wrap or bag merchandise for guests and invite them to return upon departure.

  • Stock shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.  Maintain shelves, counters, or tables in a neat and clean manner.

  • Sets up advertising displays or arranges merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales. 

  • Mark merchandise with price according to established pricing sheets. 

  • Answer guests' questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.

  • Up-sell purchases when possible at all retail outlets.

  • Verify goods to invoices when merchandise is delivered.

  • Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments. 

  • Coordinate staff retail promotions



Qualifications:




  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus one year experience in a customer service related field.  Cash handling experience required.  Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred.



Other:




  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.

  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often.

  • Basic math skills are used frequently.

  • Basic computer skills are used frequently.

  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.



This job requires ability to perform the following:




  • Frequently standing up and moving about the store safely and efficiently.

  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Handling cash, objects, products and equipment.

  • Bending, stooping, kneeling and climbing.

  • Using a cash register.
