The Event Sales Associate is responsible for building business via inside and outside sales. This person is dedicated to handling sales requests, following up on leads, executing events such as weddings, social events, home décor and holiday décor.  Developing lasting relationships to garner repeat business and referrals, is one of the most important tasks this individual develops and accomplishes.

The Event Sales Associate is a goal oriented, self-disciplined, creative role and has the ability to communicate the quality of product and service we offer. This individual works closely with each department to gain full support to ensure the product and service is delivered as promised. The Event Sales Associate has a strong eye for color and design. This individual should possess a strong will to succeed, along with a strong work ethic, and high ethical standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

CUSTOMER

  • Consult with clients, event planners, and other event industry professionals to design, present and sell event decor
  • Meeting with clients either on-site or off-site to discuss wedding/event
  • Creates and develops wedding/event proposals and delivers contracts to clients in a timely manner
  • Collects deposits or payments and records transactions according to company policy
  • Addresses customers’ concerns and resolves problems quickly and effectively
  • Follows up with customers to receive feedback and ensure they are satisfied with our services
  • Commits to managing clients by providing the highest level of service, integrity and creativity

OPERATIONS

  • Develops product request sheets and places orders with company buyer/general manager to ensure correct product and materials are received on time for the event
  • Develops floral production sheets to communicate specifics to event production and installation teams
  • Interacts in positive, cooperative and professional manner with all levels of employees, vendors and/or clients in a team environment

TEAM

  • Ensures 100% compliance with all company policies, guidelines and procedures
  • Supports and assists team members on as needed basis
  • Maintains neat, professional and clean appearance at all times

  • Guest service mentality; is sociable and friendly and has a genuine desire to serve the customer
