Long Term Care Pharmacist
Job Responsibilities
- Initial review of new orders input by technicians against the hard-copy prescriptions
- Verify orders for appropriate dosage, reviewing reports on drug interactions and duplicate therapy
- Check final packaged product against the label
- Compound prescriptions as needed
- Consulting with medical professionals on patient therapies and outcomes
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy interns as required
- Package and assist with shipping orders as needed
- Data entry of orders when necessary
- Assists the billing department to ensure all prescriptions are properly billed and charged

Specific Long Term Care Pharmacist requirements:
- Area: Ability to work in the Portland, OR area
- Licensure requirements: Must have valid, open and active Oregon Pharmacist license
- Education : R.Ph or Pharm D
- Years of experience: 1+ year(s) of recent pharmacy experience within a Long Term Care setting
- Schedule: Weekdays and weekends
- Length of Assignment: Temporary
- Pay: DOE
- Background/drug requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, client health screening criteria and drug screen
