This is a part-time, event-based position located within the Event Services Department at the Honda Center.  Ushers/Ticket Takers are a vital part of the overall experience for our guests and must be continually focused on creating a favorable impression and positive experience at all times.     
    
Starting Rate of Pay - $9.00/hour* 

Examples of Duties/Essential Functions:

•    Greet patrons in a friendly manner
•    Scan tickets
•    Verify tickets and seat guests (often times in partial darkness)
•    Provide information and guidance to guests through answering event and facility questions
•    Check for safety hazards and/or area defects in seating areas and reports as appropriate 
•    Operate elevators
•    Assist guests with disabilities
•    Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification Standards:  

•    High School or equivalent
•    Minimum 18 years of age
•    Ability to provide outstanding customer service  
•    Positive, friendly attitude
•    Ability to stand for long periods of time
•    Ability to walk up and down stairs
•    Must be able to work in large crowds with moderate to high noise levels
•    Flexible schedule – ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
•    Must be available for at least 80% of all events occurring within each month
