Job description:
The Live-In Caregiver provides specifically defined, non-skilled health care services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to enable the client to remain in the home.
The Live-In Caregiver is a non-licensed health care employee who provides personal care and light housekeeping services in the home setting of clients and families who are unable to perform these activities independently. The Live-In Caregiver conforms to all agency policies and procedures including providing care in compliance with the agency Bill of Rights, observing client and family confidentiality, and adherence to agency dress code.
Minimum qualifications:
- This candidate must be a mature female applicant preferably with previous experience working with parkinsons/dementia patients.
- Satisfactory compliance with ComForcare bonding criteria.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, families, co-workers, and all supervisors. Including ability to proficiently follow and process written and verbal instruction in the English language.
- Satisfactorily demonstrate and perform competency in direct care skills through completion of competency checklist.
- The patient is located in downtown San Francisco, applicant must be able to travel to downtown San Francisco.
- Hours required are Friday 5-6pm through Sunday same time. (weekend live in, might be 2-3 weekends a month)
- Must be very fluent in English, family preferences are someone that has been in the area for many years
- Cooking American style is required, duties include but are not limited to laundy, housekeeping, cooking, medication reminders, ambulation assistance.
