General Laborer

Magneco/Metrel has an opening at its Addison, IL small shape casting factory for a General Laborer. Candidates must be willing to work on 1st Shift for training for a minimum of 30 days then transfer to 2nd shift (1:00 pm to 9:00pm). The position requires a detail oriented employee with ability to work well as a member of the manufacturing team with Limited Supervision. The candidate should be able to work on their feet most of the day and be able to lift 75 pounds. Past experience with construction, wood working, and/or maintenance is preferred. Experience with AutoCAD or drafting would be highly desired.

This is a refractory ceramic manufacturing facility. The environment is dusty with temperature variations throughout the year due to kilns used to fire the products.

All candidates will be required to pass a back-ground check and drug screening prior to being offered employment. After a successful 30 day probation period the employee will become part of the Teamsters Local No. 743 union and entitled to paid vacation, paid holidays, pension, medical/dental insurance, and uniform allowance.
