Banquet Chef

Job Overview

The Banquet Chef is responsible for managing production and execution of all functions catered by the Rock Garden. The chef will be expected to train and supervise a staff of prep cooks, line cooks and dishwashers to execute production in the banquet kitchen. The Banquet Chef will also at times be expected to oversee all operations in the kitchen including production for 1951 West menu items and the Comfort Suites Green Bay Breakfast Buffet.

General Responsibilities

• Training and managing prep cooks, line cooks and dishwashers
• Managing production as directed by the Executive Chef
• Supervising all aspects of the kitchen and culinary team
• Maintaining health code and sanitation standards
• Maintains appropriate par levels of product for service
• Coaches and disciplines employee’s according to company guidelines
• Monitors and manages all product to assure quality standards

Job Qualifications

Experience/ Knowledge/Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent working experience
• Serve Safe Food Handlers Certification
• Strong culinary background.

Physical Demands

• Exposure to blood borne pathogens: Level III.
• Requires moderate physical effort. Standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling and pushing, lifting of weights up to 50 pounds.
