FIELD MARKETING COORDINATOR

Reports to: Director of Marketing/VP of Operations

Summary of Position

The Field Marketing Coordinator (FMC) will contribute to the success of the Chicken Salad Chick locations assigned to them, by working hand in hand with our management teams to develop and execute marketing plans and programs.  This position contributes to driving store level transactions and brand development through the day-to-day management of field marketing efforts.  The FMC develops and delivers strategic best-in-class local media, digital and social media marketing and community relations activities.

The Field Marketing Consultant builds relationships to ensure business goals are met through successful implementation of new store opening programs, catering sales and strategic local marketing plans.  This position will report directly to the VP of Operations and Director of Marketing. We are looking for a flexible team member that is not afraid to learn or ask questions and is open to a continually changing environment, but can also take direction while working under tight deadlines.

Knowledge in media placement, Illustrator and Photoshop required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Local Store Marketing

  • Builds and maintains trade area maps for each store
  • Develop and execute LSM plans and weekly field activity reports for each store including but not limited to ROI & status of each LSM program per café
  • Ensure constant and concise 2-way communication between all cafes and marketing
  • Maintain LSM material supplies and distribute as needed
  • Cultivate relationships within a 5 miles radius of each café including but not limited to: Businesses, retail, places of worship, doctor’s offices, medical facilities, schools and colleges, local organizations, emergency response departments and local Chamber of Commerce
  • Develop a list of annual local events within a 5 mile radius of each store.
  • Work with Marketing Manager to execute recommended events & strategy
  • Ensure proper POP and marketing material placement in each café
  • Visible presence in all locations through the development of store rotation calendar
  • Teach and coach managers how to implement Local Store Marketing programs
  • Assist managers in developing tactical LSM programs for inside & outside 4 walls that drive customer traffic, frequency and loyalty including but not limited to: Grass-root marketing, Non-traditional marketing, Fundraising, Catering, Social media, Local media relations
  • Manage development of supporting materials
  • Monitor and analyze results of the local tactical programs and national marketing initiatives

Grand Openings

  • Assist ownership with the development of their Grand Opening plans, to include but not limited to:
    • Provide guidance and support to the grand opening process and working directly with managers on helping them meet their business goals
    • Assist as needed in the development of marketing and advertising plans base on budgets
    • Guide stores with their Facebook page and Social Media plans
    • Support Friends & Family Mock Service and VIP pre-opening events

Brand Ambassador

  • Become a Chicken Salad Chick Brand Ambassador - Increase community involvement and spread the “Chick” unique culture through local events, outreach, etc.
  • Ensure consistent and proper use of the Chicken Salad Chick logo
  • Support other Marketing team members initiatives – food and beverage menu development, retail, website development, social media, marketing material distribution, non-profit events, etc.
  • Assist with the execution of National Promotional Events at a local level
  • Perform other job accountabilities as assigned

Desired Skills

  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to markets from Athens to Augusta and Metro Atlanta. Additional markets will be added. Field work makes up 90% of schedule.
  • Working knowledge of restaurant operations and restaurant level P&L
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to organize collected data, analyze information, synthesize findings into conclusions and lead with recommended solutions
  • Candidates must demonstrate proven ability to write clearly and concisely, demonstrate analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently, under time and deadline pressures
  • Organizational, project and time management skills.  Proofing abilities and attention to detail is imperative
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time while also possessing a strong ability to adjust to changing priorities
  • Computer skills required including Microsoft Office, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Outstanding interpersonal/relationship building skills
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities with passion and a can-do attitude
  • Self-starter requiring minimum supervision
  • Aggressive marketer

Experience & Education

  • BA degree
  • 1+ years field marketing experience preferably in restaurants or franchise organization
