Founded in 1984, the College Internship Program (CIP) is one of the most comprehensive programs in the world for assisting young adults with Aspergers, High-functioning Autism, ADHD, NLD and other Learning Differences. Our Mission is to inspire independence and expand the foundation on which young adults can build happy and productive lives.

CIP offers full year and summer programs in Massachusetts, Florida, Indiana, California and New York. We have a comprehensive curriculum with a focus on helping post-secondary students succeed in college, employment, and independent living while making the transition from adolescence to young adulthood. The CIP program focuses on real-life skills in areas such as social thinking, executive functioning, sensory processing and wellness.

Our Berkeley Center location is currently accepting resumes for an Administrative Assistant. This position is primarily responsible for providing support to the center's director and staff.

Core Responsibilities:
-Provide support for all department coordinators
-Organize and maintain file system
-Troubleshoot IT related issues and take action as needed
-Purchase and prepare all that is needed for CIP events
-Sort and route incoming mail
-Compose and transmit routine correspondence
-Answer and screen telephone calls
-Make necessary phone calls to outside vendors
-Keep the site voice mail and staff directory up to date
-Coordinate the Program Director's schedule and make appointments
-Greet and assist visitors and vendors
-Coordinate and arrange meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and prepare facilities, and record and transcribe minutes of meetings
-Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence, including e-mail and faxes
-Order and maintain supplies
-Arrange for equipment maintenance
-Assure that all information to parents is sent out in a timely manner
-Prepare all mailings to parents for reports and pertinent information
-Assist Program Quality Assistant as needed in maintaining student & staff schedules in Keystone
-Upload student & staff schedules to Google Docs

Skills, Education and Requirements:
-Associate's degree or higher.
-3 or more years of experience in related field.
-Excellent PC and IT knowledge and skills
-Demonstrated strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and social skills
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Ability to communicate clearly and professionally via telephone, mail, email, fax and all other transmissions.
-Candidates should possess the ability to develop a solid knowledge base regarding the CIP program and the students and families it serves.
-Must possess a friendly, pleasant, and outgoing manner.
-Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task with an attention to detail.
-Able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
-Possess a strong work ethic and take ownership of assignments.
-Some occasional travel may be required.
