PRIMARY PURPOSE:  Inspects, maintains, troubleshoots, and repair of ride and facility electronic/electrical equipment and systems to ensure efficient and safe operation at all times.  Directs, supervises, and trains subordinates as assigned. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilizes soldering and hand/power tools to perform tasks and repairs.
  • Notifies maintenance of equipment problems, building repairs, etc., necessary to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Reads and understands checklists, instruction manuals, etc.   Operates a digital multimeter.
  • Maintains an inventory of equipment.  Delivers equipment to worksites throughout the Park. 
  • Assists in the direction and training of technical services associates.
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Meets Cedar Fair’s attendance requirements as outlines in Cedar Fair’s attendance policies.
  • Adheres to Cedar Fair’s Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlines in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in electronics and mechanical, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. 
  • Ability to demonstrate experience with electronic, mechanical and electrical work.
