Jefferson Industries Corporation (JIC) is a Japanese owned Tier-One supplier to Honda American Manufacturing.JIC is a Just in Time state-of-the-art manufacturing company specializing in the fabrication of stamped and welded automotive structural parts.JIC is located in West Jefferson, Ohio, a community approximately 15 miles west of Columbus, Ohio.
We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of CNC Operator who would be involved in the building of metal stamping dies.
Qualified candidate should have knowledge and experience in the following:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in setting up, proving-out and operating Vertical CNC metal milling center, as well as ability to read prints and perform basic shop computations
* Experience in writing programs with simple 2-D Prints
* Working with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
* Being detail oriented, highly accurate and organized
* Performing under time constraints with minimal supervision
* Must be able to perform duties to set up and operate CNC machines, and edit programs.
* Use mathematics together with the analytical use of complicated blueprints.
* Knowledge of CNC machining operations.
* Need to be able to select, Load and Plot existing programs to ensure safe and productive machining - edit if necessary.
* Set up equipment, install tools and fixtures.
* 5 axis CNC Mill Operator experience preferred
* Tool and Die experience preferred
* Be able to load material into machine with overhead crane.
* Has a basic understanding of and M/G-code systems
* Able to read and interpret drawings.
* Able to navigate Controller (ex. Fanuc, OKUMA, Haas, other).
* Detailed oriented with large emphasis on accuracy.
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* CNC milling set up experience preferred, or 3 years as an operator in Milling CNC 3 Axis
* Preventative Maintenance on all machines and equipment as well as some quality control.
Job Expectations:
* Must be able to work daily overtime and weekends, if required.
* Hourly starting pay rate is a minimum of $17.60/hr.Starting wage may be higher with journeyman certificate.Pay can increase to $22.60 through self-study and successfully passing proficiency tests and experience.
