About this job
As a Cashier/ Runner you play a critical role in ensuring the Guest has a great experience. You interact with the Guest as they place the order and when you deliver their food to them. Your responsibilities include:
• Prep responsibilities as per shift Manager’s instructions.
• Following the Slim Chickens Steps of Service.
• Conducting opening, running and closing duties.
• The initial greeting of the Guest … making them feel comfortable and letting them know you’re there to personally take care of them. Always remember to provide coloring pages to the kids.
• Full knowledge of the menu to answer Guest’s questions and make recommendations you genuinely feel your Guests will enjoy.
• Informing Guests of specials and menu changes.
• Ensuring that all dine in, to-go and call in orders are properly rung up and sent to the kitchen.
• Confirming legal age before serving alcohol.
• Handling all payment transactions with Guests.
• Ensuring that the orders have been properly executed before delivering the food to Guests.
• Delivering food from the kitchen to Guests in a timely manner.
• Making sure all dine in Guests are satisfied and assist them with any additional needs that they may have.
• Maintaining a clean dining room and bathroom.
• Keeping the condiment station adequately stocked.
• Keeping the patio, parking lot and landscape areas clean and free of clutter.
• Pre-bussing tables when Guests are done eating, and bussing immediately upon their departure … always checking the floors for presents left behind by the little ones! Reset and arrange tabletop.
• Thanking Guests for their visit and inviting them to return.
• Informing the Manager immediately of any product shortages.
• Taking phone orders.
• Informing Manager of Guest comments.
• Maintaining a clean service area, including sweeping and mopping floor as needed.
• Inspecting assigned restroom every thirty minutes and cleaning as needed. ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE RETURNING TO YOUR STATION!
