POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Host provides security and protection for guests, employees and the property. Maintains crown control, prevents theft, and discourages altercations in a high volume atmosphere. Works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guests service at all times. Maintains all assigned wardrobe in accordance with established standards and uniform guidelines. Performs other duties as requested.

 

GUEST SERVICE REQUIREMENTS:

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:

- Good working knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment

- Ability to work safely and prevent personal injury

- Commitment to the safety of fellow co-workers and our guests, and the ability to demonstrate that commitment through daily actions.

- Comply with all safety and health department procedures as well as Company and/or departmental policies/procedures

- Informs Supervisors of any irregularities, guest complaints or other disputes, which cannot be readily resolved

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

 

GUEST SERVICE/COMMUNICATION

- Provides security and protection for our guests, employees, and company property. Upholds law and order in the venue in conjunction with local law enforcement

- Calls for and assists management with first aid and assists with injured guests or employees. Ensures that management in informed immediately when an injury has taken place.

- Remains alert for any suspicious persons or activities. Reports any safety hazards immediately to Management

- Answers all guests questions and furnishes detailed information on Park Avenue facility and upcoming events

- Posses knowledge and use of all radio communication procedures and corresponding codes

- Reacts professionally and rationally in emergency and pressure situations. Restrains intoxicated, disorderly, or insubordinate guests or removes them from the premises

- Follows the established procedures for escorting and assisting necessary employees to cash control office

- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a courteous and polite manner

- Greet all guests promptly, with a friendly and upbeat attitude

- Anticipate guest needs

- Adhere to all Park Avenue’s Standard Operating Procedures

- Maintain all Park Avenue’s Sequence of Service Standards

- Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area throughout the shift unless in a static station

- Report any incidents of theft, vandalism, or violations

- Reports any issues regarding guest dissatisfaction to nearest manager immediately

- Ability to communicate in English with guests and co-workers

 

RESPONSIBLE ALCOHOL MANGEMENT

- Recognize and acknowledge when guests are becoming intoxicated and/or are intoxicated

- Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring to a Manager’s attention

- Comply with all safety and health procedures as well as Company and/or department policies/procedures

- Comply with all state liquor laws

 

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE

- Reports any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to a manager immediately

- Clear tables and sections of debris and informs porters of any spillage

- Report all breakage or damaged equipment immediately to management

- Ensure daily/weekly and opening/running/closing duties are completed

- Maintain Park Avenue Safety and Sanitation Standards

- Place all trash in proper receptacles

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/TEAMWORK/DEPARTMENT

- Related duties as assigned based on extensive experience working in an entertainment venue

- Assist all other team members as needed

- Create and maintain a sense of urgency

- Appear in uniform for all shifts and promotional activities at scheduled time

- Performs other job related duties as assigned

- Assist with loading and unloading miscellaneous equipment, such as boxes, food, beverage product, and furniture

- Inform management of any complaint, comments or incidents

- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering Park Avenue standards to further the overall theme of the venue

- Ability to create and maintain service rapport through the Park Avenue Corporate philosophy

- Responsible for attending and participating in any training sessions and department meetings

- Responsible for appearing for each shift on time

- Give constructive feedback and suggestions to management

 

MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS

- Must have a Facebook page, Twitter Account, and/or Instagram which identifies the venue the employee works at (ex: John/Jane Doe at Park Avenue)

- Must have seven (7) tweets and IG posts per week in relation to the venue

- Must post updated event information on a weekly basis on Facebook page

 

Requirements

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

- High School Diploma required or equivalent

- 18+ years of age

- Proof of eligibility to work in the United Stated

- Hospitality experience preferred

- Possession of/or ability to possess a valid TABC certificate

WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

- Nightclub, bar, lounge, restaurant operations

- Opening and closing duties

- Knowledge of drink recipes

- Proper lifting techniques

- Guest relations

- Safe alcohol service

- High volume operations

- Sanitation and safety

SKILLS/ABILITY TO:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb, and carry as necessary

- Must be able to carry and lift up to 50 lbs

- Must be able to push up to 500lbs

- Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, the severity of which depends upon guest volume
