Retiring Owner and Executive Director looking to hire and their replacement as Executive Director for two expanding drug and alcohol recovery companies In Temecula, CA.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Deputy Executive Director is a key member of the Management Team of two drug and alcohol companies, one for profit and one nonprofit. The Deputy Executive Director, along with the CEO and Executive Director and other members of the management team, design, shape and guide the Company and achieve consistent financial stability and growth in revenue and earnings.

The Deputy Executive Director will focus on the development, implementation and continuous monitoring of two drug and alcohol companies, one for profit and one nonprofit substance abuse programs.

The position utilizes viable leadership and organizational skills while maintaining positive brand identity. Major functions include the fast-paced management and leadership of the company policies and procedures along with the development and expansion of two drug and alcohol companies, one for profit and one nonprofit to increase market share, revenues and profits, in support of company goals and objectives.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop and implement business plan, goals and objectives. Identifies and defines the needs of the treatment programs and conveys those needs to the CEO and the Executive Director.
Develops new business opportunities, creates and designs new innovative programs to carry out the mission statement for two drug and alcohol recovery companies, one for profit and one nonprofit.
Works with CEO and the Executive Director on budget and forecasts for each treatment program
Works with CEO and the Executive Director to ensure appropriate and sufficient facilities and staff are designated for each Program Director.
Ensure that personnel, client, and volunteer files are securely stored and privacy/confidentiality is maintained.
Works with IT to ensure appropriate and adequate technology is available to meet established goals and objectives for each program.
Oversees the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of the organization with the CEO.
Works with the Director of Business Development to assist with program development, accreditation, and growth potential.
Works with the Director of Marketing to ensure the agency, recovery programs, and treatment atmosphere are appropriately displayed to potential clients and the community.
Leads, coaches, develops, supervises and evaluates the work of the substance abuse Program Directors and support staff in multiple locations. This is a multidisciplinary staff engaged in a variety of service activities.
Ensure all regulations, laws and rules are followed and licensing standards are in accordance at all times.
Maintain fiscal records in accordance with standard accounting procedures and compliance with all State and Federal regulations.
Monitors and evaluates the audits and Quality Assurance for all treatment programs.
Ensures ongoing program excellence for all treatment programs.
Any and all other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Licensed MFT or MSW preferred, Bachelor of Arts & Science or Social Work degree or a provincially recognized equivalent may substitute.
Certification by one of the governing certification agencies with recognized enhancements.
10 years counseling experience preferred, 5 years minimum, with 5 years of supervisory experience with outpatient treatment programs in substance abuse treatment.
Knowledge of private insurance, state and county billing procedures.
Knowledge of basic principle and practices involved in improving behavioral health/addition treatment programs.
Knowledge of laws, rules and regulation governing a public substance abuse agency; substance abuse programs and services available to the community.
Knowledge of all federal and provincial legislation applicable to organizations including: HIPPA, employment standards, human rights, occupational health and safety, taxation, CPP, EI, health coverage, etc.
Knowledge of the principle and techniques of individual and group substance abuse counseling.
Knowledge of Human Resources management.
Ability to handle emergencies, hostile behaviors and the ability to maintain control in frustrating circumstances.
Ability to adapt to change and deal with non-routine situations.
Ability to identify problems, collects data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and provide resolutions.
Ability to partner with all levels of an organization.

Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Strong computer skills.
Valid driver's license required.
Must not be convicted of a felony with the last 10 years or currently on probation.

COMMUNICATION AND INTERFACE:

Reports directly to CEO and the Executive Director.
Works with Executive Management, Department Directors, Area Managers, Administration and Billing departments
