Overview of Role:

Role:
The Kitchen Service member works in the kitchen and is responsible for all aspects of kitchen production including Food Prep and Production (both cold and hot), Cleaning and Team work. Our fast paced, award winning professional environment is unique to the fast-food industry. This person works with a team of 15-25 other service members to serve our guests.

Knowledge/Experience:

  • 2-7 years of large scale kitchen experience preferred
  • Food safety experience(ServSafe certification a plus but not required)
  • Expert in all areas of the kitchen work including food safety, food productions, cost controls and systems, cleaning and service
  • Often able to speak/communicate in languages other than English (not required)
  • Chick-fil-A experience a plus
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. daily
  • Food handlers certification will be required

Responsibilities:

Kitchen Duties:

  • Follow Food preparation guideline (both cold and hot)
  • Roles include Cooking, Prep, Support, Boards, Expediting
  • Follow all cleaning procedures
  • Follow all food safety procedures/guidelines
  • Contribute positively to a large team environment

Ensure Policies and Quality/Standards Are Upheld:

  • Follow Restaurant Vendor check-in policy
  • Adhere to holding times and timers for all food products
  • Personal and restaurant cleanliness

Maintain Stock and Place Orders:

  • Restaurant inventory
  • MBM truck
  • Bread/Produce/Inventory
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Chick-fil-A Warehouse supplies

Ensure Profitability by Following Cost Control Systems related to:

  • Paper cost
  • Labor cost
  • Cleaning Supplies

Influence Culture of Continuous Improvement:

  • Support culture of “continuous improvement” in kitchen
  • Communicate operational improvement ideas to Owner/Kitchen leaders Frequently visit QSR competitors to critique food

Position Details:

Hours:

  • Both morning (6am – 3pm) and evening (2pm -11pm) shifts are available
  • 40-45 hours per week
  • Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays
  • Very competitive salary for qualified individuals ($9-$13/hr.)
